The competition for top scorer in the English Premier League (EPL) has been narrowed down to a three-way match between Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Heung-Min Son (Tottenham) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United).

Son Heung-min added his 18th and 19th league goals in the 35th round of the EPL against Leicester City held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England on the 1st (Korea time), surpassing Ronaldo (18 goals) to come in second in scoring, leading Mohamed Salah (22) goal) by 3 goals.

With an objective schedule, Salah has a bit of an advantage. Excluding Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool are highly likely to win the match against Aston Villa (away) on the 11th, Southampton (away) on the 18th, and Wolverhampton (home) on the 23rd.

On the other hand, Tottenham have a North London derby (home) against Arsenal on the 13th, and difficult matches remain, such as meeting Burnley on the 15th (home), who are fighting for the relegation zone.

However, while Salah is physically exhausted in the tight tournament schedule, Son Heung-min often shows off the last minute of the season, and there is a good chance that he will turn over in the remaining four games.

Salah was the first Premier League top scorer in the 2017-2018 season with 32 goals. Also in the 2018-2019 season, he became the best goal scorer for two consecutive seasons with 22 goals. For the 2020-2021 season, he missed the top scorer by one goal behind Heung-Min Son’s teammate Harry Kane (23 goals).

The worst is Ronaldo. Ronaldo, who scored a goal in four consecutive games, including a penalty kick, in the match against Brentford on the 3rd, scored 18 league goals, chasing Heung-Min Son by one goal, but only two games remain in the regular league.

Manchester United will play an away game against Brighton on the 8th and take a break for nearly a fortnight, and then play their final match against Crystal Palace on the 23rd.
