Estimated new ‘Surface Pro 9’ ARM-based device passed US FCC certification

Foreign media reported on the 19th (local time) that a device believed to be Microsoft’s new ‘Surface Pro 9’ has passed the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification.

FCC certification documents are subject to 180-day confidentiality, so much information cannot be confirmed, but according to previous reports, ‘Surface Pro 9’ is expected to be released in Intel and ARM-based models.

Among them, the ARM-based 5G model is said to feature the SQ3 chip developed based on the 3rd generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx processor. Compared to the previous chips, the 3rd generation Snapdragon 8cx chipset with the first 5nm (nm) process applied to a Windows laptop chipset is characterized by an 85% improvement in multi-core performance and a 60% improvement in GPU performance .

Meanwhile, Microsoft is expected to hold an event next month and launch the Surface Pro 9. At the event, ▲Surface Laptop 5 ▲Surface Studio 3 was also announced.
