[Brussels, 3rd Reuters]–The European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Borrell, said on the 3rd that the EU’s sixth sanctions against Russia will target the crude oil industry and more. Russian banks will be excluded from the “International Union of Interbank Communications (SWIFT)”.
“The sixth sanctions will remove more banks from the SWIFT. We will identify who is responsible for the spread of disinformation and will also handle crude oil imports,” Borrell posted on Twitter.
The EU’s executive body, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, is expected to announce new sanctions on the 4th, including measures to ban Russian crude oil imports by the end of the year. ..
