Expo 2030 Hosted by: Saudi Arabia

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has applied to host Expo 2030. This is the first time Saudi Arabia has applied to the International Expo Bureau. The application is for a six-month expo from October 2030.

The Saudi application was submitted to the International Expositions Organizing Bureau yesterday. The expo will be held from October 1, 2030 to April 1, 2031. The expo will also lead to economic competition between the countries in the GCC. It will be titled The Age of Change. If approved, Saudi Arabia’s image will change globally.

The Crown Prince’s social transformation project across Saudi Arabia, called Vision 2030, is at a critical juncture. Plans are afoot to transform the city and raise the standard of living to international standards. As part of this, old buildings and spaces are being renovated. Indigenous unemployment will also be reduced by 2030.

Saudi Arabia will become a major foreign investment destination and tourism destination globally. When this is completed, there will be more employment opportunities for foreigners. In view of all this, Riyadh is preparing to host the Expo.

The effort to host Expo 2030 will be overseen by the Royal Commission of Riyadh. Its head is the Saudi Crown Prince. Further details on the application will be submitted to the Expo Authority in Paris in December.
