Daniel Ricciardo of McLaren F1 has fulfilled his promise to have a tattoo bet with Cyril Abiteboul, the team’s representative during the Renault era.
In 2020, then Renault F1 Team representative Cyril Abiteboul took Ricardo’s bet to get a tattoo if Daniel Ricciardo took the podium.
Daniel Ricciardo completed the challenge twice and Cyril Abiteboul was obliged to have a tattoo.
However, for that season only, Cyril Abiteboul resigned from the Renault F1 team, left the F1 world, and Daniel Ricciardo moved to McLaren. It was even whispered that the promise of tattooing might not come true.
But Daniel Ricciardo posted a photo on Instagram watching Cyril Abiteboul tattooing. The promise seems to have been fulfilled.
What tattoos Cyril Abtebourg put on will be revealed on Wednesday. When asked what tattoos he would like to have before, Daniel Ricciardo said he would have a small tattoo on his ankle.
