Facebook Meta smartwatch, leak photo shows camera notch | TechCrunch Japan

Meta (meta, a company formerly known as Facebook) may be developing smartwatches that can take photos and videos. Bloomberg has released an image showing a smartwatch with rounded corners similar to the Apple Watch. However, there is also a notch on the front camera. App developer Steve Moser discovered this image in the app used to operate the company’s smartglass, Ray-Ban Stories, and the app will be smart in the future. It suggests that it may also be used to operate watches.

In addition to having rounded corners and a camera, it seems to have a stainless steel casing and a removable strap. Moser also said that the code in the app could indicate that the watch could be called “Milan” and that photos and videos taken with the watch could be downloaded to the smartphone. ..

According to Bloomberg, Meta is aiming to launch a smartwatch as early as 2022, but nothing has been decided yet. In addition, Facebook’s parent company is reportedly already working on three generations of products that will be launched at different times. It’s unclear if the device shown in this image is one of them, or if it will be released. However, The Verge also reported in early 2021 that Facebook was developing a smartwatch with a front camera and a 1080p rear camera with autofocus (which you can use off your wrist). It may also have heart rate monitors and LTE connectivity, which may be distributed across three models.
