Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram in the dark; Zuckerberg loses Rs 44,732 crore Facebook Outage | Mark Zuckerberg

WASHINGTON: Mark Zuckerberg has lost $ 6 billion (approximately Rs 44,732 crore) after a seven-hour strike by social media giant Facebook. Bloomberg reports that service outages around the world have caused such huge losses. Facebook and its associates Instagram and WhatsApp were disrupted around 9pm Indian time on Monday.

Zuckerberg said the problem had been fixed and apologized for the inconvenience caused to users. In many places the malfunction in the messenger services is still unresolved. It is estimated that the domain name system (DNS) that connects users to the server is faulty.

Facebook shares began to fall. The crash comes after reports emerged that Facebook was undermining security in the face of profits. A report released by The Wall Street Journal last September said that there were some issues with Facebook and that there was misleading information on Instagram.

Nick Clegg, Facebook’s vice president, said issues including political polarization had been raised. Zuckerberg’s graph has also been hit hard by Facebook’s unexpected strike. Zuckerberg is currently the fifth richest man in the world.
