Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Engineering – Pharmacy – Architecture (Kerala engineering pharmacy exam) rank list has been published. Faiz Hashim from Vadakkancherry, Thrissur secured the first rank in the engineering entrance examination. Harishankar M from Poovakulam, Kottayam secured the second rank and Nayan Kishore Nair Kollam secured the third rank. The top five in the rankings are all boys. In the SC category Ammu from Thrissur secured the first rank and Akshay Narayanan Malappuram secured the second rank while in the ST category Jonathan Daniel secured the first rank and Sabrinath Ernakulam secured the second rank.
In the pharmacy category, Faris Thrissur native Abdul Nasser secured the first rank while Tejaswini Vinod secured the second rank. Tejas Joseph Kannur won the first rank and Amreen Kallayi won the second rank in the architecture examination.
Of the top 100 candidates in the Engineering Chem examination, 22 are girls and 78 are boys. Of these, 64 were first time candidates. Ernakulam 21, Thiruvananthapuram 17 and Kozhikode 11 were in the top 100.
The examination was held at 418 centers inside and outside the state. 73,977 students appeared for the engineering exam. Of these, 51031 qualified. Option registration based on the students’ score had already started before the rank list. According to the Entrance Commissioner, the list was delayed due to a court order requiring those who appeared for the CBSE Improvement Examination to apply. Higher Education Minister R Bindu said there was no inaccuracy in the option given earlier and the children were benefited.
