Family Spies, A Masked Villain, and Lots of Action

Family Spies, A Masked Villain, and Lots of Action

The first trailer for Black widow it is out in the countryside and is interfering with its mix Bourne-style action and trophies Marvel Cinematic globe. And as it focuses on filling the gaps in the past and the time between Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) American Captain: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the film will introduce new ideas and at least one important concept entering the fourth phase of the MCU.

But at the moment, we reflect on the location, the new characters, and the mystery in the heart of the Irish language. Black widow. Here are five things we will remember until the next trailer arrives.

It is after Civil War

The trailer could hide this point, but from the footage we saw at the Expo D23 back in August, it is clear that the film takes place after your Nat's proceeding at the end. Captain America: Civil War. This is crucial, because it means that the film, in some ways, is a prelude to Stage Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Then again, the film can always be made not after Civil War, but it happens inside that soul space on Vormir, and all this Nat is working out his demons on a planet that is far from home, suspended between life and death.

However, while we accept that these events are truly happening, and Nat goes back to Russia, where she decides to deal with an old business. That is, the intense training that made the espionage wonderful for her and, as it happens, Avenger.

Created by Stan Lee, Don Rico and Don Heck, the character was an obstacle to Iron Man first. Russian spy was in it from the beginning, even if her image icon took years to emerge. Nat continued to deal with Iron Man and the Avengers until she defended the United States in the late 1960s and eventually joined the team many years later. Her clothes, her red hair, and her hourly glass logo came along with her transition from harassment to warrior.

Nat's loyalty and how they changed in the MCU remains a source of opinion; we have only the smallest data Captain America: Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron go with it. This lack of concrete backup meant that many people expected the film to be set before she started Iron Man 2 and how S.H.I.E.L reveals her. She turned her against her former spamasters. It is clear that some of these ideas will still be part of the film, as the trailer leaves it hard in his former “spy” family. His story will undoubtedly be a collective initiative to solve the film's central conflict.

The Red Room and Yelena Belova

As mentioned back Ultron Age, Nat is a Soviet era program product called The Red Room, which was applied to create deep-cover spies. Its roots go back to World War II, as the found Agent Carter A TV series, but it never seemed that Hydra was associated with the Red Room. Indeed, it is unclear whether the program had any involvement with Hydra or any of the other Marvel based established world agencies. But one thing is clear from Nat's eye view Ultron – other Black Widows were similar.

The only widow is Yelena Belova (who played Florence Pugh in the film). Created by Devin Grayson and J.G. Jones was fully introduced in 1999 Black widow miniseries, the character originally served as a new foil for Nat before it was a member of S.H.I.E.L .. herself. As a Black Widow who is trained by a Russian Federation successor information agency, Belova tries to destroy Nat so that she can become the only Black Widow. In the end, the character got her own Black widow minors and came into line with Hydra, who turned her to another Super-Adaptoid. Finally, she became a Black Widow and promised to destroy the remaining Hydra forces behind Nat's apparent death.

With her club with the Red Room – where she and Nat were trained in the comics and films – and Hydra, it will certainly take some tips from the fact that elements of the organization were still functioning after falling SHIELD she will be a double agent? As Avengers: Endgame created, there is still power in the expression “Hail Hydra,” and the shock must hear Belova hear – as true loyalty or cover itself in a sticky situation.

Also, it is not yet clear whether the film will address the apparent inconsistency of Johansson playing women trained in the US. In addition, the Red Room survived the fall of the Soviet Union in comics, thus Nat and Belova could be trained to protect the interests of the Russian Federation.

Watch Red Guardian

Nati's “family” also includes Alexi Shostakov (David Harbor), who will recognize fans of comics as the second Red Guardian. Back in the comics, he was Nat's husband – which we suspect will be played for laughs in the film – and a well-regarded pilot before he was sure he would be Soviet equivalent of Captain America. Nat believed he was dead while training for his new role, but was really killed after revealing his identity to Nat, who had been defending him with the US under that. Impressively, Decoy Life Model of Shostakov emerged later and took the name “Ronin” – the same name as Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) which was used during the five-year gap. Endgame.

From the trailer, we see the Red Guard's days behind him. Indeed, Nat and Belova seem to have to break him out of prison before they can complete their new mission. The basin gives a playful, funny recovery to him, which suits him even if his clothes are small.

But also, we love at any time that the MCU gives an insight into a forgotten heroic history between World War II and the first time of Iron Man. See also: Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) acting as Ant-Man and the Wasp in the 1980s. Red Guardian, which has more than a Soviet icon, is playing fully in this lost era.

Enter the Taskmaster

While only a handful of moments are observed during the trailer, Taskmaster Marvel Comics will make its debut in the MCU with Black widow. Created by David Michelinie and George Perez, Taskmaster was first seen in 1980 Avengers # 195 and # 196 as mercenaries were able to match the Avengers powers and tactics, thanks to “photographic reflexes” which enabled them to replicate their opponents actions. In recent years, he has trained other villains and even taught forcibly the heroes. Unfortunately, it is at the expense of his personal memories that he comes, but as he and his wife attended S.H.I.E.L .., she acted as an external memory and as a handler in the criminal world.

Taking into account the time frame of the film, it is easy to imagine that Taskmaster and his wife are Hydra agents who survived the Avengers trying to verify them from S.H.I.E.L .. and other governments. It is a good motivation to go after Nat, who pointed out that Hydra's plot is on earth Winter Soldier. But when watching the Marvel movies trade in major mis-trends, the person who might be drawing Taskmasters strings must be a terrible revelation – Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) maybe?

Alternatively, Shostakov, Nat and Belova, may be Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), who shows the trailer as a mother in a family unit. But the character, which was designed by Ralph Macchio (not the actor) and George Perez, was discredited by Nat during their time in Mother Mother service. She took the name of Iron Maiden and came to be a freelance interpreter. Eventually, she joined a group of assassins paid to kill Nat, but was unsuccessful. As it happens, her clothes in the comics from the Taskmaster and the trailer appearing – although definitely a more theatrical, theatrical victory at Taksmaster – do not. could to be possible is the person under the mask. Or, at least, she is taking promotional events to meet her own.

Inter Gap Civil War and Infinity War

So we have to talk about Ross's Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” (William Hurt). His voice is heard in the trailer and can be seen in one shot, but is shown as a man younger than he was at present. Civil War. This could be as a playback of the first contact that Nat had with – maybe he helped his original defender? – but his questions to Nat in the trailer suggest that New Ross might encourage his pilgrimage to Russia.

This suggests that Ross gets her while she is on the move, and when he was one of the biggest Sokovia Accords swaps, he must have a very good reason. not to introduce it, make a public show, and put it in the Raft. Then again, New Ross was little in spite of his dedication to defending the United States, so the Red Room may be a more direct threat to national interests than the trailer continues. It is fully presented from Nat's perspective, so Ross's real ambitions will be quite ambiguous at present.

But the result Black widow it may fill some gaps in the story Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. Nat's actions could help Clint and Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) cut their dealings. It could also indicate why Nat met the team of Captain America (Chris Evans) in Europe. In addition, with the Red Chamber's heritage finally available to the public, it will complete Nat's journey as it was established. Ultron Age.

This only leaves one question that the trailer cannot answer: how is film Step Four? Applying Belova under the name Black Widow in comics, the whole purpose of the film may be to set it up as a Nat backup today. Or, if this is not just happening in that soul space, it may return Nat on the end. But thinking about that eye Captain Marvel establish ideas for both Avengers: Endgame and the Stage conflict seems to be happening Black widowFuture events in the MCU will have the greatest connection.
