Jaipur: A BJP MLA from Rajasthan has made controversial remarks against the farmers’ strike that has been going on for more than a month and a half. Ramganj Mandi MLA Madan Dilawar alleged that protesters on the Delhi border were eating chicken biryani, which could cause bird flu to spread across the country. The video has been circulating on social media.
‘The peasant struggle is only a picnic. It does not give a new idea to the country or the people. They are enjoying eating biryani. The protesters are eating dried fruits including cashew nuts. Enjoys all sorts of things, changing costumes from time to time. There are many terrorists in the group. There are thieves and robbers. They are the enemies of the farmers. If the government does not remove them by request or force in the coming days, I suspect that bird flu will be a big problem in the country, ”said Madan Dilawar.
Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra has criticized the BJP for coming out of Madan thinking about the protesters.
At the same time, the farmers are intensifying their struggle without backing down from the strategy of prolonging it to the maximum and weakening their vigor. Tractor rallies were held in villages in Punjab and Haryana in support of the ongoing strike on the Delhi border. During the 8th round of talks, the farmers’ organizations had stated that the government would not end the strike without withdrawing the controversial laws. The strike entered its 46th day.
