Nileshwaram | TK Pookoya Thangal, the mastermind behind the fashion gold investment scam, has surrendered before the Hosdurg Judicial First Class Magistrate Court. Pookoya Thangal came to court with his lawyer nine months after he went into hiding. They told reporters that they had been in Nepal for so long.
The investigation team had issued a lookout notice without being able to apprehend themselves. Later, a special squad was formed to investigate. Despite the deployment of a special squad, Pookoya’s inability to capture them led to much debate.
TK Pookoya, Managing Director, Fashion Gold, went missing on November 7, 2020. Muslim League MLA. Pookoya Thangal drowned after MC Kamaruddin was arrested by the Special Investigation Team. Pookoya was followed by general manager Zainul Abidin and manager Hisham.
