FC Online: Kwak Jun-hyuk Fails to Advance to Finals; Will Park Ki-young Find Redemption?
Asian Games Journey Comes to an End for FC Arlein’s Kwak Jun-hyuk

Kwak Jun-hyuk, a member of the FC Online national team, experienced defeat as he failed to progress to the finals in the ‘Hangzhou Asian Games’, formerly known as FIFA Online 4. Competing against Thailand’s representative, Tidet Songsaisakul, Kwak Jun-hyuk succumbed to a loss in the winner’s bracket final held at China’s Hangzhou eSports Auxiliary Stadium on the 25th.
As a consequence, Kwak Jun-hyuk now finds himself in the losers bracket, determined to make a comeback. Up next, he will face off against Thailand’s Patana Sak Baranan on the afternoon of the 26th. Baranan emerged victorious over Korean player Park Ki-young in the previous round of the losers bracket on the 25th. Should Kwak Jun-hyuk emerge triumphant, he will secure a spot in the finals and have an opportunity to challenge Tdet Songsai Sakool for the gold medal.
Kwak Jun-hyuk has already secured a bronze medal, making history as the first Korean esports athlete to achieve this feat.
On the other hand, Park Ki-young concludes his Asian Games journey in 4th place after his defeat in the final round of the losers bracket.

Kwak Jun-hyuk lost to Thailand’s representative Tidet Songsaisakul in the FC Online winner’s bracket final of the ‘Hangzhou Asian Games’ held at the Hangzhou eSports Auxiliary Stadium in China on the 25th. FC Online is a soccer game served by Nexon and is an official eSports event for this tournament.
Kwak Jun-hyuk was sent down to the loser’s bracket and will try to improve by facing Thailand’s Patana Sak Baranan on the afternoon of the 26th. Patana Sak Baranan is the player who defeated Korean Park Ki-young in the final round of the losers bracket on the 25th.
