Mattia Binotto, Team Representative for Ferrari F1, says that the 2021 season is “I can’t stand it anymore” and “I want you to finish it early”.

Ferrari F1 finished 6th in the line king in 2020 after enduring a miserable season, but this season it has significantly improved its performance and is currently in 3rd place in the ranking, 39.5 points behind McLaren.

Ferrari F1 is fully devoted to the development of the 2022 F1 car with the aim of returning to the Winners Circle in 2022 when the next generation F1 car will be introduced.

With two races remaining in the 2021 season, Mattia Binotto wants the 2021 season to end sooner.

“I learned what I had to learn,” Mattia Binotto told Corriere dello Sport.

“We are no longer developing anything and it is inevitable to compete for new chapters on new machines.”

“Let’s say it in good faith. I can’t stand it anymore. I can’t wait for the end of this season.”

From the beginning, Mattia Binotto argued that Ferrari’s main focus this season was on its most important 2022 design.

“I have never actually developed a current machine,” said Mattia Binotto.

“We introduced some developments at the beginning of the season. That’s it.”

“There was a power unit in the second half, but that power unit was also developed with a view to 2022. All efforts from the beginning of the season have been 2022 machines and never compromised.”

“So, at some point, I never thought of trying to penalize the penalty in 2022 for the benefit of 2021.”

Mattia Binotto also said that Ferrari’s turnaround this season compared to 2020 is rooted in a solid improvement in overall station operations, especially in overall station operations.

“I think we’re in third place right now, not because the team developed the car itself, but because the team’s various weekend work styles have improved significantly since the beginning of the season,” Mattia said. Binotto added.

“We have made a lot of progress in terms of strategy, management methods, communication with drivers and understanding of what we are doing. Tire management has also improved significantly.”

“I think the team after Paul Ricard has developed many small tools and methodologies to try to make it better.”

“When I was in 6th place with few points in the championship last year, I think I made the most of what I can do with the current regulations. Also, for the 2021 car, most of the cars have a lot of development opportunities. Was limited to “

“Overall, I think the team has made great strides in what they can do, so the third position is a great achievement of the effort and I’m very happy with it.”
