Yesterday, FIFA banned Russia from hosting a home game as well as using the country, flag, and country name.

Although they did not prevent the match from appearing, FIFA eventually issued a stronger disciplinary action, ‘excluded from the World Cup’.

FIFA, in collaboration with the European Football Federation, announced that the Russian national team and club teams will be banned from participating in FIFA-sponsored competitions.

As a result, Russia will not be able to play in the European playoffs this month against Poland and will also be unable to qualify for the Qatar World Cup finals in November.

Russian team Spartak Moscow, who advanced to the Europa League round of 16, was also disqualified.

The International Olympic Committee has also launched full-scale sanctions.

The IOC Executive Committee has recommended that federations and organizing committees for each sport not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to invite and participate in international competitions.

After the International Ice Hockey Federation and the Rugby Federation announced that they would be ‘excluded from Russia’, the International Ice Skating Federation, which suffered from a doping scandal in Balieva, announced that it would ban Russian and Belarusian players from participating in the World Championships this month. Russia has completely lost its place.

It also decided to withdraw the Olympic medal given to President Putin in consideration of the violation of the Olympic truce resolution.

Among domestic sports, the Curling Federation announced that it would reject all matches against Russia, starting with the World Championships, in order to jointly respond to international sports organizations.
