Qatar is the 13th consecutive World Cup for the Latin American powerhouses. Argentina have not lost a single tournament since the World Cup hosted by Germany in 1974.

Argentina qualified for the Qatar World Cup by finishing second in the qualifying round of Latin American countries. He did not lose a single match in the qualifying round. Out of 17 games, they won 11 and took six. Brazil topped the qualifying round.

Argentina is the third highest scoring team in World Cup history. Argentina have netted 137 times in the World Cup so far. Only Brazil (229) and Germany (226) are ahead of Argentina.
