Al Iaquinta can dig you or find a new house for you.
Fourthly among UFC lightweights, the 32-year-old person works from Wantagh, N.Y., in real estate when he is not fighting.
"It's not taxing my body. I'm networking, I'm meeting new people, I'm competing against other agents and so it's very similar in many ways," he explained. "There are a million real estate agents in the country and there are one million MMA fighters. So you need to have something in both.
"Truly I if I did it in one, I can do it in the other."
Iaquinta (14-4-1) has retained its real estate duties – it focuses primarily on residential properties in the south coast of Long Island – to challenge No. 8 Donald (Cowboy) Cerrone celebrated Saturday in UFC TV card in Ottawa.
In the joint event at the Canadian Country Center, Toronto Elias' average weight (The Spartan) takes Theodorou with Derek Brunson. Theodorou (17-2-0) is ranked 13th among 185-pound competitors and Brunson (18-7-0) No. 8.
While the Cerrone is 36 years of age below him, Iaquinta recognizes the appeal being made by a cursor against an archaeologist who was willing to fight with anyone in a 13 year career covering the UFC and the t WEC.
"It was around for years. He fought everyone," Iaquinta said. "I watched him when I was younger, (when I was) but a wrestler."
Iaquinta, who was first in a fight in 2009, was also on hand to see Cerrone's last tour – a great victory over Alexander (British) Hernandez in Brooklyn in January – and he knows it's attractive to fans .
"I knew it was very popular, I knew it was about forever but the crowd was, the pop when it walked out and when it was announced more than anyone on the fight card." That place went wild when they said the Cowboy.
"I know how many eyes he gives when he fought. And that's the name of the game. In those cases I get the occasion, I love it. And I think that's the case." in this fight. "
Cerrone (35-11-0 with any competition) respects Iaquinta.
"There is nothing like bad blood… He is a permanent man. Diana," he said. "It's a good fight."
Saturday will celebrate Cerrone's 31st fight in the UFC – and second in Ottawa. In June 2016, he stopped Patrick (The Predator), Montreal, in Montreal toll-weight.
The individual loss at Iaquinta was seven final fights than short notice for the light empty title against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223 in April 2018. Nurmagomedov won without decisions to decide on 'no will' (50-44, 50-43) , and 50-43) but Iaquinta won kudos to sharpen and make the distance.
Iaquinta had a weight on a fight against Paul Felder on the same card when he heard that there was a need for an opponent for the main event. He worked voluntarily and accepted the UFC.
But first he had to make a weight again, fights of title given to the allowance do not allow one more to make. Iaquinta had a value of 155.2 pounds and had to do 155.
"I got a phone call… to come down with my clothes because they wanted to weigh the clothes."
The underwear was the extra weight and the bout was going on.
Adding to the play around the fight, Iaquinta spent in the van the previous day when Conor McGregor, the MMA's boyfriend, wore beef between his camp and Nurmagomedov – tolls through the window.
"People are screaming, girls are crying. I didn't know what was going on at the heck. I thought it was a terrorist attack or that we were shot… That weekend was wild, wild with that weekend , "said Iaquinta.
McGregor eventually pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in a plea agreement. He was sentenced to community service and had to pay damages and attend an anger management course.
Iaquinta returned from Nurmagomedov's loss with a victory on Lee's Christmas in December. He wants another crack on the 155-pound title, this time without the play.
Cerrone returned to the light section in January, stopping Hernandez in the second round.
It changed to medium term after being stopped by Rafael Dos Anjos light champion in December 2015. Cerrone was 6-4-0 as a 170 pound boy with losses for Jorge (Gamebred) Masvidal (Ruthless) Robbie Lawler, Darren (The Gorilla) Till and Leon (Rocky) Edwards.
"I feel very much at just '55' at ´70," explained Cerrone.
While Iaquinta respects MMA Cerrone achievements, he sees "a lot of holes in his game."
"I'm there with some hard people and I'm coming," he said. "I have tested my will. They have tested everything and you still have no chink in the armor. I don't think you have to see one against Cowboy."
"I'm saying it breaks first."
