Following the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, Cha Jun-hwan set the record for the second consecutive Olympics.

He is the third Korean male single player to participate in the Olympic Games twice in a row, following Jeong Seong-il (Calgary in 1988, Albertville in 1992, Lillehammer in 1994) and Kyu-hyun Lee (Nagano in 1998, Salt Lake City in 2002).

Cha Jun-hwan competed in the Pyeongchang Olympics while attending Whimoon High School and ranked 15th in the history of Korean men’s singles with a score of 248.59.

As the first acting task of the day, Cha Jun-hwan had a smooth start by successfully performing the quadruple toe loop, which is a four-round jump.

Then, he perfectly jumped to the quadruple salcho and showed off his overwhelming technology.

Following the triple lutz jump, Cha Jun-hwan lightly jumped to triple axel consecutive jumps and triple axel solo jumps.

Cha Jun-hwan, who played the 4th and 3rd and a half high-level jumps without mistakes, was a little shaken as if his stamina had dropped in the second half.

In the triple lutz-triple loop combination jump, the landing was shaky, and in the triple flip combination jump, the number of revolutions in the last jump was insufficient.

Still, Cha Jun-hwan completed the acting after receiving the highest level of level 4 for the step sequence and 3 spin assignments.
