According to Radio Biobío, given the magnitude of the flames, volunteers from various companies work to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby infrastructure.

For its part, the affected company released a public statement, where it explains that “the fire would have started in a pallet yard, where these elements combusted for reasons that are being investigated and later spread to the warehouse sector. In the area where the Fire Department works, there are no chemical elements or dangerous materials”.

“The area in which the incident is being fought adjoins an empty site and there is currently no risk of spread. As a preventive policy, BSF permanently maintains firebreaks on the outer perimeter of the centers, for the protection of the neighbors”, added Bodegas San Francisco.
