The baby’s DNA sample was collected in the case of adoption without the mother’s knowledge. Samples of Anupama and her partner will be taken at 2.30 pm. Anupama alleged that there was a possibility of distortion in the DNA test. However, Minister Veena George said that the rights of the child were paramount and that video footage of DNA samples was taken to ensure transparency. Minister Veena George also rejected the allegation that the Child Welfare Committee did not have a Dutt license.

Officials of the Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology arrived at the Nirmala Shishubhavan in Kunnukuzhi, where the baby is staying, at 10.30 am to test the sample. The procedures were completed and returned within half an hour. Child Welfare Committee officials also visited the orphanage. Meanwhile, Anupama came to the scene with the allegation that there was a possibility of a coup during the inspection.

Veena George’s response was that DNA testing in Andhra Pradesh was not done to ensure transparency and that if Anupama was a mother, she should have a baby soon. The Health Minister has rejected the allegation that the child was adopted by the Child Welfare Committee without a license. The Minister also said that the Child Welfare Committee has a Dutt license till December 2022.
