The 6th Nespresso Talents International Short Film Contest has the theme of “action first” and received 993 short films from 60 countries. This year, the China Division also started the competition for the second time, attracting a large number of young film creators to actively participate, and a total of 54 entries were received.

The theme of this competition “action first” is not only an overview of guiding the active actions of young Chinese filmmakers, but also a proper description of the unremitting efforts of Nespresso Espresso Coffee for sustainable development over the past ten years. Based on the determination to build a positive influence, the Nespresso Talents Short Film Competition has joined hands with the Pure Project Association (Pur Projet) to fully neutralize the carbon footprint generated by the competition.
For every creator participating in the competition, Nespresso will contribute 5 trees to the agroforestry project. At that time, the brand will plant a total of 4,956 trees in Costa Rica. These trees will be invested in a larger scale operation in cooperation with the Pure Project Association (Pur Projet). In China, through the agroforestry program, small coffee farmers will gradually transform to organic coffee production, which truly empowers “action first”.
