BTS group member J-Hope (real name Jeong Ho-seok) was selected as an assistant in the boot camp. This is the second selection after Jin, a member of the same group who enlisted first. On the 31st, Newsis reported that after completing the basic military education and training course at the Army’s 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center (Shinkyo University), J-Hope would be staying at Shinkyo University’s 36th Division for the rest of his military life as assistant coach.

An Army official said, “It is true that the personnel were selected as assistants at the recruitment training center after being evaluated.”

On the 24th, J-Hope completed the basic military education and training course as a 23rd-5th trainee from the Recruit Training Center of the 36th Infantry Division in Wonju City, Gangwon Province and was awarded the rank of Private.

The oldest member of the group, Jin (Kim Seok-jin), who enlisted before J-Hope, was selected as an assistant instructor at the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do in January.

Meanwhile, J-Hope, who was born in 1994, enlisted on the 18th of last month through the Baekho Recruit Training Center in the 36th Infantry Division in Wonju, Gangwon-do. The expected release date is October 17, 2024.
