Following the High Court judgment, ‘Marat 357’ was renamed ‘The Verdict’ Cinema | Deshabhimani

Kochi: The high court directed to change the name of Kannan Thamarakulam movie ‘Maradu 357’. The new name of the movie is ‘Vidhi – The Verdict’. The petition was filed by the builders of the demolished flats against the film which is set against the backdrop of the demolition of the Marat flat. The movie was blocked by the Ernakulam Munsiff Court when it was scheduled to release on March 19.

The case was then referred to the High Court. It was handed over to the Ministry for decision after the High Court hearing. The verdict has finally come after the trial. The main element of the verdict is to change the name of the film.

The producers have changed the name of the film from ‘Marat 357’ to ‘Vidhi – The Verdict’ based on the verdict. The producers also announced that the censorship of the film has been completed. The court ruling comes at the end of an eight-month legal battle.

Maradu 357 is directed by Kannan Thamarakulam after ‘Pattabhiraman’. , Sarayu and many others are in the cast of the film.
