While other children play soccer, a Russian club trains its young members on weapons. Photographs show the military exercises.
Children crawl through the snow and rush around the corners of houses – weapons always at the ready. Photographs from the Nizhny Novgorod region show exercises by the “Followers of Dmitri Donskoy” club, which says it wants to train “patriots of the fatherland.”
While other children are active in the boy scouts or play handball, the young members of this club are being trained with weapons and are supposed to serve as junior staff for the Russian army. A particularly brutal group of mercenaries is also glorified on the club’s social media profile.
