Muscat: The welcome team for the ‘Welfare Cup 2023’ football tournament organized by the Oman Expatriate Welfare Sports Department has been formed. Oman’s leading teams will take part in the tournament which will be held on February 24 at the Emirates Stadium.
Pravasi Welfare Sports Department Convener Fiyaz Maliekal was selected as Program Convenor, Secretary Riaz Valavannur as Tournament Convenor and Central Secretaries Shamir Kollamkan and Safir Narikuni as Assistant Convenors.
Interested teams should contact 9352 2664 to register. A food festival and women’s mehndi festival will also be held in conjunction with the football tournament, with a variety of flavors from different regions of the country.
Pravasi Welfare President Munir Vadakara and General Secretary Sajid Rahman led the formation of the welcome team.
