Today is the day before the Lunar New Year holiday.

There is a long line at the window.

They have to wait 20 to 30 minutes before their turn comes, but they are looking for clean new money and priesthood.

“I came to change my priesthood around lunchtime, but there were about 30 people waiting, so I felt a bit embarrassed and I think I should change it quickly.”

After 3 years since Corona 19, a Lunar New Year holiday where you can see each other face to face without any burden.

It’s been a while, I’d like to give you some new money too.

“It feels good when you get new money from adults. With that thought, even when I get old, (my grandchildren) will feel that way now…”

In the last five days before the Lunar New Year holiday, the number of exchanges of new certificates at the Bank of Korea totaled 35,000, an increase of nearly 30% from a year ago.

I found new money, but now I’m hesitant how much money I should give.

Last year, the rate of increase in consumer prices was 5.1%, the highest since the 1998 financial crisis.

“100,000 won is a bit much, and 50,000 won is a bit much… 50,000 won is a lot of money. Because (nephews) are not alone…”

In a survey by a telecommunications company, 43% of respondents said that the appropriate level of money for New Year’s Eve was 50,000 won.

“Give 50,000 won to school children, 10,000 won or 20,000 won to juniors…”

10,000 earned was 19%, and 29% said they would not give or receive because it was onerous.

In a survey carried out by another education company on a ‘very New Year’s Eve’, elementary school students who received the most responses were 50,000 won, but more than 40% of the adults who gave answered that 10,000 had won.
