“Lee Jun-seok Ethics Committee held on July 7… Hearing the vocation, deliberation and decision”

On the 22nd, the People’s Power Central Ethics Committee decided to initiate a disciplinary procedure against Kim Cheol-geun, head of the political affairs office, who was accused of ‘destruction of evidence’ in relation to Lee Jun-seok’s allegation of sexual abuse.

The Ethics Committee decided to hold a meeting on the 7th of next month to hear the CEO’s vocation and to deliberate and decide whether or not to take disciplinary action against Lee, who was accused of sexual harassment and destruction of evidence.

There is an interpretation that the Ethics Committee has actually entered the process of disciplinary action against CEO Lee.

Lee Yang-hee, chair of ethics committee, made this statement to reporters after holding an ethics committee meeting at the main building of the National Assembly on the same day from 7 pm to about 5 hours.

Eight out of nine ethics committee members attended this meeting.
