Former F1 driver Rubens Barrichello returned to Ferrari for the first time in 17 years after fighting F1 at Scuderia Ferrari and ran a Ferrari racing car at the Valerunga circuit.
This opportunity came through a test hosted by Scuderia Bardini, a team led by Fabio Bardini in the Italian GT Championship.
Rubens Barrichello weighs the quality of the 488 GT3 Evo 2020, the most successful car in Ferrari’s history. His son Edoardo, who races in Formula Regional, took part in the test with Giancarlo Fisichella, who has been competing for several seasons in the Italian series for a team based in Rome.
Rubens Barrichello quickly established a car-circuit relationship, both of which were his first.
Nothing has yet been decided about the future partnership between Ferrari and Rubens Barrichello.
However, Scuderia Bardini had previously played in the “Dream Team” at the Italian Championships. In the 2019 endurance series, Jacques Villeneuve, Giancarlo Fisichella and Stefano Guy were on the Ferrari car No. 27.
Villeneuve won the solo championship at the end of the season as both Giancarlo Fisichella and Jacques Villeneuve were forced to skip several races due to conflicts of other commitments.
