Kerala Cricket Team Appoints Former Indian Spinner M Venkataramana as Coach
The Kerala cricket team has appointed former Indian and Tamil Nadu spinner, M Venkataramana, as their new coach. The 57-year-old player, who has succeeded Tinu Yohannan, will lead the team for the next two years. Venkataramana, a right-arm spinner, had an impressive career, taking 283 wickets in 105 domestic matches. He was the highest wicket-taker in the 1988 Ranji Trophy season. Having previously coached the Singapore national team, he also held the coaching charge for Tamil Nadu from 2021 to 2023. Additionally, Venkataramana is a member of the coaching staff of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The right-arm spinner, who played one Test and one ODI for India, took 283 wickets in 105 domestic matches. He was the leading wicket taker in the 1988 Ranji Trophy season. He was the coach of the Singapore national team. He also held the Tamil Nadu charge from 2021 to 2023. He is also a member of the BCCI coaching staff.
