Karachi: Former Pakistan cricket captain Inzamamul Haque has suffered a heart attack. He was admitted to a hospital in Lahore on Monday and underwent angioplasty. Geo News journalist Arfa Feroz Zak tweeted that Inzamam had overcome the danger.

The star had been suffering from chest pain for the last three days. But preliminary tests found nothing dangerous.

Inzamam, 51, is Pakistan’s all-time leading run-scorer in ODIs. He has scored 11701 runs from 375 ODIs. He scored 8829 runs in 119 Tests. He retired from cricket in 2007. He was the Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board from 2016-2019 and also coached the Afghanistan team.
