Comedian Mirage was caught up in a controversy over profanity and vulgar language during a live terrestrial radio broadcast.

Mirage first appeared on a radio program as a guest on KBS Cool FM’s ‘Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show’, which aired on the 24th. The ‘Catch the Fix’ corner, where he appeared, is a corner where Park Myung-soo introduces new talents, shares various talks, and judges whether he has the qualities to continue as a fixed guest.

He said, “I debuted in 2005, and for over 15 years, I have appeared in less than 15 shows other than public comedy.”

Mirage, unaware of the fact that certain brand names should not be exposed on radio broadcasts, mentioned the brand’s sneakers that he received as a birthday present from Park Myung-soo, and Park Myung-soo was bewildered and corrected, “You must not say that (directly).” .

Then, Mirage used the profanity ‘I’m a senior that I like so much,’ and Park Myung-soo hurriedly warned, “You shouldn’t use such expressions.”

Mirage freely shared anecdotes and daily life related to her, such as her first meeting with her husband, the process of marriage, and a recent birthday party. However, despite the many warnings, “I like to taste food and men a little differently”, “My husband and I had our first kiss in the car, and both of them were heavy, so the car shook”, etc. overheard

At the end of the broadcast, “People comment on me saying I’m fat, I look like a pig, and I’m ugly X” and “It’s all good, but I hope I don’t do anything that could lead to misunderstanding. I am also a strong person,” he added.

After the broadcast ended, even though senior comedian and host Park Myung-soo warned people to be careful about their words and actions, criticism continued until the end of the broadcast that Mirage using profanity was inappropriate. On the other hand, there were opinions expressing regret, saying that it seems like a mistake because public broadcasting radio is unfamiliar and unfamiliar environment.

Meanwhile, Mirage made his debut in the entertainment industry through KBS2’s ‘Laughter Club’ in 2005, but went through a long period of obscurity. Then, in July, he appeared on the YouTube web entertainment ‘Turkeys on the Block’ hosted by his best friend Lee Yong-jin, a comedian, and gained popularity with his outspoken words and was rising as a trending star.
