It became possible to gather up to six people again for three weeks from today.

The quarantine measures have been partially eased, but the upcoming Omicron pandemic is a problem.

The number of confirmed cases in non-metropolitan areas continues to increase.

Today, 6 people… (I came) The number of people I can meet increases, so I think it’s good that we can eat together more comfortably.”

The number of private gatherings will increase to 6 for 3 weeks until the 6th of the next month.

However, restaurants and cafes will be open until 9 PM, and private academies and PC rooms will be open until 10 PM.

As the number of new confirmed cases fell to around 3,000 and the number of patients with severe cases fell to around 500, the quarantine indicators are also improving.

However, the government has stated that re-proliferation is inevitable due to omicron mutations.

In the past week, the number of omicron mutation infections in Korea was 2,679, a 2.6-fold increase from the previous week.

In addition, the detection rate of Omicron mutation was 26.7% last week, which is a sharp increase from 3 weeks ago when it was 1%, and is expected to become the dominant species this weekend.

There is also concern that the number of confirmed cases in non-metropolitan areas is increasing.

In the past week, the number of confirmed cases in the metropolitan area decreased by 2.5% compared to the previous week, but the number in the non-metropolitan area increased by 7.9%.

The government is investigating whether it is related to the spread of the omicron mutation.

“The spread of the community is showing in Honam, Gyeongbuk, and Gangwon regions, and there is a risk that the nth spread through group cases will continue.”

Accordingly, the government raised the level of risk in non-metropolitan areas from low to medium.

The national risk level was maintained at medium.

Pfizer’s Paxrovid, an oral treatment for COVID-19, was administered to 39 people for three days until yesterday.

The quarantine authorities said that after the prescription, the patient’s condition was improving, there were no cases of aggravation to serious illness, and there were no reports of side effects.
