[Frontline Interview]Hunan Xiangtan Health Code Failure, Citizens Crash | CCP Virus | Epoch Times

[Epoch Times August 06, 2021](Interviewed by Epoch Times reporters Hong Ning and Fang Xiao) The CCP virus (new crown pneumonia) epidemic continues to spread in Hunan. Local people said that the local government strictly controls speech and bans people from taking pictures, questioning that the epidemic is much more serious than the official announcement. The “health code” turned yellow and red inexplicably, causing emotional breakdown of the public. The chaotic state of the government’s response to the epidemic has caused great dissatisfaction among the citizens.

Hunan Xiangtan strictly controls information and does not allow unofficial media to take photos

On August 6, the National Health Commission of the Communist Party of China notified the mainland’s epidemic data the day before, showing that Hunan has newly confirmed 9 local confirmed cases.

According to a report from the Hunan Daily on the 6th, the Delta mutant strains are coming violently. At present, there are 3 high-risk areas and 25 medium-risk areas in the province. For medium- and high-risk areas, the province implements strict closed isolation control. At the same time, strengthen the prevention and control of key places such as residential communities, supermarkets, shopping malls, pharmacies, airport stations and terminals, and eliminate private training institutions, training activities “from above ground to underground”, and family training.

Hunan Xiangtan City Discipline Inspection and Supervision Agency has set up 7 supervision and inspection teams. Up to now, a total of 148 key places have been supervised and inspected.

From 0:00 to 16:00 on August 2, 1 new confirmed case was reported in Yuhu District, Xiangtan City, Hunan Province. The newly confirmed case is the aunt of Zeng, the first confirmed case reported in Xiangtan City on July 30.

From 16:00 on August 2 to the present, the total number of confirmed cases reported in Xiangtan City is still two, and there is one case of asymptomatic infection.

In an interview with Epoch Times reporters recently, Mr. Zhao, a native of Hunan, said that Xiangtan is Mao Zedong’s hometown and that Xiangtan’s control over speech is very strict. The local epidemic situation can only be reported by official media, but the actual situation is worrying. There are only 2 confirmed cases in Xiangtan that have been officially notified. However, judging from the information in various social groups, the atmosphere is still relatively tense.

“In the Xiangtan area, if it is not the official media, citizens or self-media are not allowed to use mobile phones to shoot, even if there is relevant self-media certification, it is not allowed (shooting). This side reflects the extreme panic of the Xiangtan government over reporting. Mr. Zhao said, “This makes me full of misgivings, and I feel uneasy. Why is the government so afraid of people taking pictures? In the end, where will the epidemic go? I am very worried.”

He also said, “Whenever you see someone with professional camera equipment, people from the government will come forward and ask, “Which unit do you belong to? Have you communicated with the government department?” If not, they will call immediately. Then a group of People surrounded this person. Then they called the police…”

The official response to the epidemic is chaotic, the “health code” changes inexplicably, causing the citizens to collapse

On August 3, the Hunan Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a document stating that the recent epidemic situation in Hunan is severe. The number of “red and yellow codes” in Hunan’s residents’ health code has increased dramatically. The CDC issued an emergency notice on related matters:

1. The red code of Hunan health code indicates a high risk of virus infection, and the yellow code indicates a medium risk of virus infection. The green code does not mean that there is no risk.

2. Residents update the Hunan health code and communication big data itinerary card before traveling.

3. “Personnel with red and yellow codes” and those with yellow itinerary cards should immediately report to the local community or county-level CDC.

Mr. Zhao told reporters about the “inexplicable red or yellow” issue of the Xiangtan people’s health code. There was a chaotic situation in the area, and many people were shot innocently. “Many people feel baffled. After staying at home for a few days without going anywhere, the health code suddenly changes to a yellow code or a red code. This has caused innocent citizens to feel very hurt and panic. It has indeed aroused the dissatisfaction of many local people.”

“This situation is still quite serious, because some people still need to go to work at a unit. If the health code turns yellow, they will have to undergo nucleic acid tests twice in three days and be quarantined for 14 days. You can only go out after the health code turns green. Going to work has affected many groups who need to go to work normally.”

“The yellow code means that the movement is basically restricted, and the red code is about to be taken to the hospital. So when everyone has become a yellow code or even a red code, when people send messages in a group, some people say that they have become a red code. He almost collapsed and fell to the ground crying on the spot! The emotions were simply out of control. I felt that the sky was falling down! As a result, the police did not dare to approach the scene and could only wait for the 120 ambulance to be pulled away.” Mr. Zhao also revealed, ” However, through some nucleic acid tests, it was found that many people were not infected with the virus. Therefore, the government’s management of the epidemic situation is very chaotic. It has caused dissatisfaction among many people, and the voice of dissatisfaction is relatively loud.”

Three people were detained by police after sending out information about the epidemic

Mr. Zhao also revealed that a few days ago, personal information about the trajectory of patients and their communities was exposed through WeChat groups in various communities. As a result, three people were attacked by the local police. The local media reported the incident.

According to a Red Net report on August 1, the Zhuzhou Public Security Bureau recently cracked down on three people, two of whom “spreading cases of false information about the epidemic, and one for spreading personal privacy information on epidemic prevention.”

According to the report, on July 30, Chen Moubing in Chaling County posted a picture on WeChat Moments. The content was a screenshot of the form of the “Inquiry Platform for the Health Status of Employees of Enterprises Resuming Work in Hunan Province”, listing Tan Mou and Zeng Mou in Chaling County. Red code personnel at high risk of the epidemic. The information is not true. On July 30, Chen Mobing was ordered by the local public security to make an explanation on the rumors in his circle of friends.

On July 30, some WeChat groups in Liling City circulated the news of “One new local confirmed case in Liling City from 0:00 to 12:00 on July 30.” At about 18:00 on July 30, Zeng saw the news of “A new local confirmed case in Xiangtan City from 0:00 to 12:00 on July 30”, which was sent to the WeChat group, and then forwarded and spread. On July 31, the Liling City Public Security Bureau placed Zeng in administrative detention.

On July 30, some netizens forwarded the list of the first close contacts and second close contacts of Zhuzhou City in the WeChat group, showing that the private information of citizens has been leaked. On August 1, Song Moujun was under administrative detention by the Hetang Public Security Bureau.

Mr. Zhao said that after the above-mentioned incident of the three people being attacked by the public security was publicly reported, citizens would not dare to send relevant information again, because whoever sent the message would be detained like the three people. Only official media can post (epidemic information). Each group requires everyone to forward the official information in a unified manner.

“So in the media, there is almost no public information about the epidemic in Xiangtan. So how many people are infected? Are there only a few people who have been officially reported? Where have the confirmed cases been? Are there other people who have been infected? If not, why is the community completely locked down at every turn? All nucleic acid tests are performed?” He said.

Mr. Zhao said that the official control of the media is very strict, so citizens have doubts about the media, the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of China. “The people don’t know what the situation is, and they are very cautious when they go out. Someone who takes a mobile phone to take pictures will be registered by the public security. It shows that Xiangtan’s repression of speech is very bad.”

“What the citizens actually see is inconsistent with the official announcement. There is a big gap. So the citizens don’t know what is going on? Hunan has become one of the most severely affected areas in the country, and the citizens of Xiangtan are also more panicked.” Mr. Zhao also mentioned that people in many places are still infected with the virus after being vaccinated.
