During a meeting with US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln, Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong shared the importance of stable management of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and discussed ways to early restart the peace process on the Korean Peninsula, including a declaration of an end to the Korean War.

“The two Ministers evaluated that the strong South Korea-US alliance is developing into a comprehensive global alliance for resolving global issues such as supply chains and COVID-19 response, beyond regional cooperation in Northeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific region,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Previously, the two ministers had regular meetings with the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) Ministerial Board held in Paris this month, the United Nations General Assembly held in New York last month, and the G7 Summit held in Cornwall, UK in June. come.

“The two Ministers evaluated the active communication between the two countries at various levels on various occasions, and decided to continue close coordination and cooperation between the two countries in the future,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
