At the time of the explosion, nearby buildings and vehicles within a radius of several hundred meters were damaged by the impact, and the explosion sound was clearly audible and white smoke was visible even in Sita, a densely populated area of Koreans 3 km away.
An injured person in the hospital told the local media that “I was less than 100m from the point of explosion, and I was at the entrance and was thrown out,” he told the local media at the time of the accident.
An eyewitness said, “It is not the power that can be caused by a single gas cylinder exploding.” He estimated that “there is a possibility that the gas may have exploded after the gas was spread by destroying a gas pipe buried underground at a nearby construction site.”
