Germany crosses 100,000 deaths from coronavirus

German authorities said today (25th) that the death toll from the new coronavirus infection in Germany has surpassed 100,000.

The German Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said 351 more people have died from the virus in the past 24 hours.

This makes Germany the fifth country in Europe to surpass 100,000 deaths after Russia, the UK, Italy and France.

Meanwhile, the US White House announced yesterday (24th) that it will make vaccination compulsory for all people crossing the US border by land from January 22, next year.

In response, a high-ranking US government official said, “Like last month, when it was decided to make vaccination compulsory for people traveling for personal business, it means expanding the scope of duty to essential personnel such as truck drivers and government officials.”
