Germany went into the semi-finals of the 2023 hockey world cup after beating England on penalties.

Bhubaneswar: Germany entered the semi-finals of the Hockey World Cup hosted by India. Germany reached the last four after defeating England in a tight quarter-final.

Germany won on penalties. After scoring by two goals, Germany fought back with two goals in the last minute to equalize and extend the game to the penalty goal. Wallace Zachary and Ansel Liam netted for England in stoppage time, while Mats Grambusch and Tom Grambusch were on course for Germany.

Germany won the penalty kick with a score of 4-2. Liam Ansel and David Goodfield from England failed to find the target. But Germany secured the semi-final by scoring the first four tries.

Germany’s opponent in the semi-finals is strong Australia. Belgium will face the Netherlands in the other semi-final.
