Ghana’s Ronaldo to meet at the World Cup is not a threat

[마이데일리 = 김종국 기자] The legend of Ghana, who will face Korea in the Qatar World Cup, predicted that Ronaldo would not be able to play a threat.

On the 15th (local time), Yau Preko shared his thoughts on Ronaldo to meet in the finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar through Ghanaweb. Yau Freco played one of the leading bronze medalists for the Ghana national team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and served as a striker for the Ghana national team until 2007. Korea will face Ghana, Portugal and Uruguay in the quarterfinals of Group H of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“You must not underestimate Portugal,” said Jaw Preco, adding that “I don’t think Ronaldo will be a threat, but the players around Ronaldo are a threat”. He also emphasized that “Ronaldo is not the same as he used to be physically and mentally after his return to Manchester United,” he said.

Ronaldo returned to Manchester United after 12 years with the move last year. Ronaldo has recorded 12 goals and 3 assists in 25 appearances in the Premier League this season, and his scoring ability has recently declined sharply. Ronaldo has only scored four goals for United this year. Ronaldo, who has been controversial due to various rumors at Manchester United, is likely to leave the team after the end of this season.

Meanwhile, Korea will play their first match in Group H of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar against Uruguay on November 24. Ghana and Portugal, who are in the same group as Korea, will face each other in the first match of the group stage.
