Riyadh: A foreigner has been arrested for harassing a girl during National Day celebrations in Saudi Arabia. The girl was sexually assaulted in a public place in the capital, Riyadh. Riyadh provincial police spokesman Major Khalid al-Quraidis said the suspect had been found and arrested.
Video footage of the girl being abused was widely circulated on social media. Police are investigating after the video footage came to attention. The accused was then identified and arrested. A man in his fifties was arrested. He is reportedly a native of Maine. The accused has been handed over to the public prosecution after completing the legal proceedings, police officials said.
