GitHub Introduces AI Coding Chatbot, CoPilot Chat, to More Users

GitHub, a subsidiary of Microsoft (MS), has expanded the availability of its artificial intelligence (AI) coding chatbot, called Copilot Chat, to a wider user base. As reported by IT media outlet The Verge on the 20th, Microsoft first introduced Copilot Chat as a public beta version for developers in July last year. This tool enables users to receive coding assistance by engaging in a conversation with an AI assistant while they write their code.

Recently, GitHub announced that CoPilot Chat is now accessible to individual users through Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code. With this update, developers and individuals can utilize GitHub Co-Pilot Chat to not only learn new programming languages or frameworks, but also to tackle problems and find answers to coding queries in a more user-friendly, natural language format.

To access Co-Pilot Chat, users can subscribe for $10 per month or opt for an annual payment of $100. This pricing structure aims to provide flexible options for users who wish to make the most of this coding chatbot.

By making CoPilot Chat available to a wider audience, GitHub is aiming to enhance developers’ coding experiences and facilitate their learning process through the use of AI-powered conversational technologies.
