Mostar actress with an address in Zagreb, Ornela Višticashe shared with her Facebook friends the situation that happened to her on the way from Zagreb to Žepč.
– I will tell you a story about Bosnia, which I experienced yesterday together with my friends – began Vištica.
We transmit her announcement in its entirety:
“In fact, I went by car from Zagreb to Žepče, for the play, together with two friends who decided to keep me company and visit Žepče for the first time.
After 45 minutes from the border crossing, we felt a bump under the car on the highway while driving. We thought it was a flat tire and I stopped the car at the stop lane. Soon we found a real turtle under the car near the left front tire. After we got her out, we tried to start the car again, but the sound wasn’t the best.
The first car that stopped in front of us at the stop lane was a van from which two guys got out. Honestly, when I saw them, I thought who are they? And how safe is it to talk to them? Then another car stopped behind us, and soon we learned the names: Meho, Pajo, Dragan who were trying to service the car’s battery.
Unfortunately we didn’t make it. The minutes ticked by, and I was thinking if and how I would get to the show in Žepče?! Blaža stayed by the car to wait for the towing service, and Mila went with me in Meh’s van. Meho and Pajo did their best to get to the show. We drove through Doboj, Mila was sitting on some impro wheel and 6 minutes to 8 pm we arrived in front of the hall. Blaža waited for more than an hour for the tug and they delivered her food and water. The water reminded me of the hands of one year in a camp that only needed water then.
Meho says that human life is the most important. “Slow down, slow down…”
It is hard to describe the amount of fear, worry, “putting life in a bag”, worry, desire and race against time. What is the time?! And how much time hunting today, due to responsibility before people, can endanger human lives?! Yesterday in Bosnia, the people from Tešnj did a great thing, they made it possible for the play to be performed and, most importantly, they helped the three women get back to Zagreb alive and safe. The turtle stayed there somewhere near the stop lane, and we are happy because time stopped there for more than an hour, it stopped and we met wonderful people. Meho, Pajo, Dragane, Darko, Predrag… Thank you”.
