Google will delete inactive accounts – NEWS 360 – WORLD

New York: Google is set to delete accounts that have been inactive for two years or more. The move is part of strengthening safety standards. Content on such accounts will be deleted. Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet, Calendar), YouTube, and Google Photos will also be removed. The new policy will affect personal Google accounts. This will not affect the accounts of schools and organisations. Google said it will alert the account’s email address and recovery email before deleting it. The policy will be effective from December.
