Google reported on the 15th (local time) citing tipster Onleaks (@Onleaks) that Google’s next-generation flagship smartphone series ‘Pixel 8’ is expected to have a flat OLED (organic light emitting diode) display.
According to the raw CAD image shared by OnLeaks on Twitter, the ‘Pixel 8’ series has a display with an almost flat edge compared to the Pixel 7 series released last year.
On the other hand, the corners are much more rounded. Additionally, the bezel looks thick in the image, but OnLeaks said, “The published image is a raw shot, so the bezel and other details are not visible.”
The Pixel 8 series is expected to launch this fall, but details other than a third-generation Google Tensor chip are still unknown. According to the latest report, it is known that the third generation Google Tensor chip will be sent to Samsung Foundry through the third generation 4-nano (nm) process.
