The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it has decided to provide humanitarian aid worth 200,000 dollars and about 240 million Korean won to Tonga, a country in the South Pacific that has been heavily damaged by the volcanic eruption.

Tonga suffered great damage from an undersea volcanic eruption on the 15th, and electricity communication has not been properly restored.

Earlier, Japan announced that it would provide $1 million in humanitarian aid to Tonga.

Australia and New Zealand have also sent military transports and ships loaded with relief supplies and emergency food.
