Govt moves Supreme Court to cancel Vijay Babu’s anticipatory bail

Kochi: The government has moved the Supreme Court against the High Court verdict granting anticipatory bail to Vijay Babu in the rape case of the actress. The prosecution is dissatisfied with the High Court’s observation that anticipatory bail was granted.

Since the accused is married, it cannot be said that the marriage was promised. The actress was never in his custody. The actress and Vijay Babu have been having chats on Instagram and elsewhere. Conversations between them indicate a deep connection. The court observed that none of them referred to sexual harassment.

But the ruling has drawn criticism from legal experts and the general public. The debate was so high that the court did not think on the side of survival. The prosecution then approached the Supreme Court.

The prosecution also argues that the public could receive the message of intercourse from these observations.
