Guangxi builds a firm cold chain “physical defense” safety barrier, puts off 85 tons of problematic food

He Chaojian, Secretary of the Party Group of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Market Supervision Bureau, introduced on the 23rd that since 2021, Guangxi has built a strong cold chain “physical defense” safety barrier, implemented full coverage inspections, full link traceability, and full process prevention and control. There are 7174 cold storages and 56 in the region. A centralized supervision warehouse was included in the supervision of the “Bagui Cold Chain Link” platform, and 245.39 tons of imported cold chain food were investigated, and 85 tons of problem food were removed from the shelves and sealed.

The Guangxi market supervision mid-year work video conference was held in Nanning on the same day. He Chaojian made the above introduction. He said that in order to protect food safety, Guangxi has strengthened safety protection, strengthened the supervision of imported cold chain and farmer’s market food, and played the role of “physical defense” to speed up The establishment of food safety traceability systems in key areas, the management of hidden food safety risks, the completion of supervision and random inspections of more than 30,000 batches, and the investigation and punishment of 3615 food safety violations.

Guangxi is connected to Vietnam by land and sea, and has many border ports. The import volume of ASEAN fruits, frozen products and other products is huge. With the increasing pressure of import prevention at ports, how to eliminate hidden dangers of imported food safety in a timely manner and ensure the safety of people’s “vegetable baskets” has become the focus of society’s focus.

Huang Zhen, deputy director of the Guangxi Market Supervision Bureau, said on the same day that in order to effectively prevent and control the risk of imported epidemics, Guangxi has strengthened “foreign import prevention” measures. Since the beginning of this year, various cold storages have been inspected 41,600 times, and high-risk countries such as India, Brazil, and Southeast Asia have been checked. Imported 245.39 tons of cold chain food transferred to Guangxi, investigated 95 cases and fined 1.25 million yuan. The 56 centralized supervision warehouses for imported cold-chain food in Guangxi have been put into operation, effectively preventing imported cold-chain food from unknown sources, without nucleic acid testing and preventive elimination, from entering the market for sale.

At the same time, Guangxi has proceeded in an orderly manner with the disinfection and random inspection of imported high-risk non-cold-chain container cargoes, and cumulatively investigated 2005 production and operation enterprises that use imported high-risk non-cold-chain container cargoes, and inspected 350 batches of imported high-risk non-cold-chain container cargoes, including: The 90 batches could not provide a disinfection certificate, and the company has been required on the spot to immediately stop using it and report to the local epidemic prevention and control headquarters for testing and disinfection according to regulations.

In addition, Guangxi has vigorously promoted vaccination work. Currently, there are 22,400 employees in the Guangxi market supervision system, and 20,400 have been “accepted”.

Huang Zhen said that in the future, Guangxi will further strengthen the prevention and control of imported cold-chain foods, focusing on imported cold-chain food producers, operators of centralized trading markets, and third-party cold storages. It is strictly forbidden to mix imported cold-chain foods with other foods. Store and sell imported cold chain foods that do not have the “three certificates and one code” on the market.

Guangxi will further strengthen emergency response. Once the nucleic acid test of imported cold chain food is positive, it will immediately seal up the corresponding places and foods involved in the epidemic, check the number of food batches, source and destination, and carry out sampling and testing at the same time. For cold chain food production and operation units that have not strictly fulfilled the main responsibility for epidemic prevention and control, they shall be ordered to suspend business for rectification; for the storage, production, and sales of cold chain food from unknown sources, investigations shall be filed in accordance with the law.
