Muscat: Heavy rain is expected in many parts of the country as the low pressure formed in the Arabian Sea moves towards the coast of Oman. The Oman Meteorological Agency said there was a possibility of thundershowers in Musandam, northern Al Batina, southern Al Batina, Muscat and southern Al Sharqiya until Wednesday.

The waves are expected to reach a height of two to three meters and the sea is likely to be turbulent. Authorities warned motorists to be cautious as there is a risk of dust storms in the desert and open areas due to strong winds. Authorities have asked plaintiffs not to cross and to stay away from low-lying areas.
