American gymnast star Simone Biles, 25, also confessed to being sexually assaulted by her coach.

According to the BBC on the 15th (local time), Biles told the U.S. Senate hearing on the same day that he had been “habitually sexually abused by the national team’s doctor, Lanny Nassar.”

“I criticize Nassar and the system that made his crimes possible,” Biles said.

In addition to Biles, three national team players, McKayla Maroney, Ali Reisman and Maggie Nichols, who attended the hearing, also testified that Nassar had sexually abused them.

Nassar was sentenced to more than 300 years in prison for raping and molesting more than 300 athletes while working as the attending physician for the gymnastics team at Michigan State University.

This hearing is because it was revealed that the FBI knew about Nassar’s crimes and neglected them. “Federal law enforcement and gymnasts have overlooked Nassar’s sexual abuse of hundreds of women,” Biles said.

In particular, Biles claimed that “long before I reported the abuse, the US gymnastics team and the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee knew that I was being sexually abused by Nassar.” Maroni also testified that “over 70 young players were further harmed as the FBI did nothing.”

“The FBI’s failure is an unforgivable mistake,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Meanwhile, Simon Biles, born in 1997, won four Olympic gold medals at the age of 19, and won 14 world championship gold medals at the age of 22. He was named the best gymnast in the United States, including one of the 100 most influential people in the world this year by the Biles Times.
