According to THE HILL and others on the 16th (local time), the results of a CBS Broadcasting Survey (with a margin of error of ±2.5%p) conducted on 2,094 American adults from the 12th to the 14th showed that since President Biden took office, ‘ Frustration’ accounted for 50% of the total respondents. ‘Anxiety’ was 40%, and ‘Satisfaction’ was only 25%.
Most of the respondents found that their dissatisfaction was focused on the Biden administration’s economic policies, inflation issues, and Afghanistan issues.
58% of respondents said that the Biden administration was not focusing as much as necessary on economic issues, and 65% said it was not responding to inflation. On the other hand, only 38% and 30% support the Biden economic policy and 30% support the inflation response, respectively.
In addition, 64% of respondents said that they did not respond properly to the spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) mutation Omicron. As the reason for the response ‘not responding properly’, 69% said ‘relevant information is confusing’, and 61% answered ‘we are pushing for mandatory vaccination’.
In the early days of President Biden’s presidency, approval ratings for state affairs were around 60%, but after the decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan last summer, it started to decline and fell to 50% in October of last year. From November last year (44%) to this time, it has not been able to break away from the approval rating of 44%.
