Halo veteran Paul Bertone has joined Studio 343 as Technical Design Director. According to Paul Bertone’s LinkedIn bio, he worked at Bungie for over a decade, developing Halo 3, Halo: ODST and Halo: Reach as design director, before leaving in 2012. In June 2022, joined 343.

Regarding Bertone’s appointment, Halo: Infinite’s creative director Joseph Staten said he was delighted that Paul could help lead the future of Halo: Infinite.
After leaving Bungie, Bertone spent 3 years as head of design at Industrial Toys, a mobile game studio headed by Bungie co-founder Alex Seropian, now owned by EA.
He then spent 6 months as head of design at State of Decay studio Undead Labs, and most recently, for over 2 years in the same role at Highwire Games, the studio behind the PlayStation VR game Golem and the upcoming PlayStation VR game Golem. Six Days of Fallujah.
