Justice Minister Han Dong-hoon said, “No matter how much I think about the abolition of the Joint Financial and Securities Crimes Investigation Team (Amalgamation Unit) during the former Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae, I cannot find a purpose in the public interest to abolish it.”

Minister Han attended a comprehensive policy inquiry by the Special Committee on Budget and Settlement of the National Assembly on the morning of today (20th) and said, “I think this is a measure that gave the market the wrong message that it will respond softly to financial securities crimes, which are victims of the common people.”

Minister Han said, “It is impossible to detect all such white-collar crimes anyway. However, it is important to give the public a message that the state will take strong measures against crimes that harm the common people.” Eliminating it will give potential criminals the courage to engage in crime.”

He also said, “There is no place to complain about crimes that harm the common people.

When asked whether there was a political reason for the abolition of the Hap Sudan in the past, Minister Han said, “I do not feel enough to judge a political reason.” I think we have to do something quickly.”
